Huanglongxi old town is listed as one of the ten famous old town in China, it has a history more than 1700 years. The old town is 40km from Chengdu, the Fu river runs through the old town. The name Huanglongxi means yellow dragon, it is said that there was a yellow dragon live in the water near the old town.
9:00 a.m. Drive from Chengdu to Huanglongxi
Your guide will meet you at 9:00 a.m. at your hotel lobby. It will be 1 hour driving from Chengdu to Huanglongxi.
10:00 - 12:30p.m. Visit the old street of Huanglongxi
Visit 3 temples in the old town and walk around on the old street of the old town
12:30 p.m. - 13:30 p.m. Have lunch
Having the lunch by the river, you will have a good view of the river and old town from your restaurant.
14:00 p.m. - 15:00 p.m. Rafting on the river
Take the local’s raft and cruise the river, watch the whole picture of the old town.
15:00 p.m. - 16:30 p.m. Having tea under the thousand years Banyan tree
Enjoy the tea in the local riverside tea house is what the locals like best, you will join them to have some good tea under the big old tree, which is also a good sightseeing spot of the old town.
16:30 p.m. - 18:00 p.m. Walk out of the old town and return to hotel
After the visit to the old town, your guide and driver will send you back to your hotel.
