Baoguo Monastery is located on the foot of Mt. Emei, Mt. Emei is one of the 4 sacred places in China, and the Baoguo Monastery is one of the biggest 8 monasteries in Mt. Emei. And it’s the biggest one in lower section of the mountain.
Baoguo Monastery is the entry of Mt. Emei, the up mountain road or the walking path are all starts from here. It has more than 10 Acre, different courtyards has different styles. A lot of major ceremonies in Buddhism are holding here.
The highlight of the monastery is the Purple Copper Tower which 7 meters high and with 14 floors. There are 4700 Buddha statues on this tour. It is named Huayan Tower.
