One-day ride enables you far away from noisy cities to reach Rilong, a small town at the foot of Mt Siguniang (Four Sisters or Girls). It has been apotheosized since remote antiquity. The mountain has four peaks. They are the Fourth Girl (6250m), Third Girl (5355m), Second Girl (5276m) and First Girl (5025m). What you about to conquer here is the first peak or second one.
Day 1 Arrive in Chengdu by flight
Your guide will be there at the airport to pick you up, and then send you the hotel. Go shopping in some super market nearby, get some snacks and prepare some warm clothes for the trip to Mt. Siguniang. You may attend a Sichuan Opera Show after the special dinner. Overnight in Buddha Zen Hotel.
Day 2 Drive from Chengdu to Rilong (400km, 7 hours driving)
Meet your guide and driver, heading for the Rilong town which is located on the foot of Mt. Siguniang. You will pass the city of Yaan, the first city before going into Tibetan area from mainland China. Then you will drive all the way up the river to a mountain pass which is 4100m high, named Mt. Jiajin pass. The blooming flowers and wild yaks along the way to the pass, you can have a stop where you want to take a photo with beautiful highland flowers. Arrival of Rilong will be around 6pm. overnight in a nice and clean four start hotel: New Siguniang Villa.
Day 3 Trek 5 hours
Trek from Rilong to the Base Camp of the first peak along Haizigou Gully, whose main landscape is of alpine meadows and lakes. Your horse will carry the tents and sleeping bags and other heavy stuff for you. So you will not carry too much when walking in an attitude more than 4000m. After your arrival in base camp, your horseman will set up the camp and cook for you.
Day 4 Trek 5 hours
Trek from the BC to Camp 1(4200m). Today you will trek into an even higher attitude, so you paste will be slower. Have a good night when you settle down in Camp 1. From there you can see spectacular sunset with those snow peaks, the night in highland is unforgettable, shining stars are more brilliant than stars than you ever seen. Take good rest for the summit tomorrow.
Day 5 Climb for the summit, and back in town
Try to reach the summit of the first peak (5025m). Horse-riding back to Rilong. If you ascend onto the summit successfully, the Mountains Climbing Society will give a certificate to you.
Day 6 Visit the Shuangqiao Valley (Shuangqiao Gou), back to Chengdu
Shuangqiao Valley is another valley lies in the high mountains, this valley is about 40km long, and you will visit this valley by shuttle bus. There is 10 mains scenic spots in this valley, most are rounded by snow peaks, you will have more spectacular views here than Champing Valley. Lunch will be prepared at Dawei Town, after that, drive Back to Chengdu via Yaan. Stay at hotel in the downtown.
Day 7 Panda Breeding Centre and Back home
The morning hours are best time visiting the Panda Base, because the pandas are more active in the cooler morning. And you will not miss the feeding hour since you leave your hotel at 8:00am. After 2 hours with the pandas, your guide will take you to a nice restaurant named Qingshanzhai (they offer herbal meals with local taste) in downtown for you last meal in Chengdu. After all, say goodbye with your guide and driver in the airport. Leave for your sweet home.
